The 2009 reunion, hosted by Larry & Sally Hattamer was held May 26-31st at the Oxford Suites looking over the Spokane River. Highlights included tours of Farragut State Park on  Lake Pend Oreille, tours of Spokane, and a lunch cruise on Lake Coeur D’Alene. Every evening included a dinner based on a theme such as the Northwest dinner of salmon, steak, venison, and hucleberry ice cream.

At the 2009 reunion Memorial Service 37 names were read of those that have died since our last reunion. Many families and friends of USS Block Island crew members joined us for a week of fond memories and strong relationships that will last forever.
